Production Line Worker- Immediate Openings (Hamilton)

    *NOTE: This position requires candidates to work a 12-hour rotating continental schedule (7am-7pm/7pm-7am)

    -Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Manually lift trays of candy, turning and feeding product into the packing line on a continuous basis.
    • Packing finished product into boxes at the end of the packing line.
    • Feeding washing machines with dirty candy trays.
    • Quality control- standing and observing candy as it moves on the conveyor belt, watching for any product that do not meet quality expectations.
    • Making boxes and feeding them into the packing machine.
    • General housekeeping: cleaning packing machine lines, sweeping and mopping.
    • Other duties as requested by the supervisor.

    -Qualifications and Skills:

    • Previous factory experience an asset but not required
    • Own a pair of CSA-approved safety shoes
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
    • Ability to bend, push, pull and lift up to 25 lbs.
    • Ability to work a 12 hour continental shift rotation with shifts starting/ending at 7am/pm
    • Prompt travel arrangements to and from a west end work location (near McMaster)
    • Two positive references
    • Willing to follow strict GMP (General Manufacturing Procedures) which includes: no jewelry, cellphones or other items in pockets, proper hand washing etc.
    • Ability to comply with Health & Safety practices and procedures including wearing CSA-approved shoes, ear plugs and glasses.


    • Start at $14/hour + 4% vacation pay & stat holidays
