Packaging Technician

Kelly Services has an immediate opening for a permanent position with our client in Elmira On. This opportunity of Packaging Technician is a nice fit for either a Maintenance Millwright or an uncertified individual with a high degree of mechanical and electrical aptitude.

Specific Requirements: 

Can be a Licensed Millwright or a Non-Certified individual with strong Mechanical/Electrical aptitude

• Responsible for the maintenance of packaging equipment and conveyor systems
• Detect, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair related equipment as required
• Maintain equipment at a level to support high efficiency standards
• Preventative Maintenance activities
• Provide assistance to production and process areas to support maintenance activities
• Provide operator training regarding machine set-ups and adjustments
• Knowledge and understanding of PLCs, automated, robotic and pneumatic packaging equipment
• Function effectively within a fast-paced work environment maintaining focus and attention to detail
• Assets: pursuance of Millwright trade certification, welding experience
• Minimum - completion of grade 12 with 6-12 months of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment

Position Details: 

Permanent position  

Certified Millwright $30.46 to $33.50 per hour, pending qualifications

Non-Certified $26.01 to $30.09, pending qualifications

Night shift work schedule

Bonus incentive based on company performance

Company benefits upon successful completion of probationary period
