Payment CoordinatorToronto, ON, Canada
Our client, a leader in the Pharmaceutical Industry is looking for an experienced Payment Coordinator.
1 Year Contract
Location: North York.
Pay rate: $27.05/hr
Collects and uploads HCP value transfer contracts from submitter via contract portal into the Prizma system. Performs quality control review of payment requests, and processes HCP value transfer payments within target timelines. Communicates QC findings to submitter constructively, including recommendations for corrective action. Where required, escalates QC findings to senior management, and healthcare compliance. Performs eMarketPlace payment request entry on behalf of submitter. Performs Prizma payment reconciliation entry on behalf of submitter. Troubleshoots, triages, and escalates (where appropriate) unique event requests and questions from submitter via centralized service mailbox. Participates in quality system performance measurement and improvement, such as analysis of metrics, and initiatives for proactive process improvement. Acts as subject matter expert for applicable policies and procedures, effectively communicating and interpreting processes for submitter. Partner with Finance associates as necessary regarding payment process and HR / IT on system updates. Participate in year-end payment closing process and accruals. Creates and revises all HCP Value Transfer Vendors on behalf of the Submitter. Liaises with “AskGS” on behalf of Submitter for any matters related to any HCP Value Transfer payments; Assists in the distribution of cheques to Submitters or HCPs; Responds to any payments related inquires and questions received via email and telephone. Liaises with the Medical Compliance Specialist Team for any required revisions to HCP Value Transfer agreements received at payment stage.
Minimum bachelor’s degree, college diploma, or equivalent work experience. 3-5 years of experience in a quality control, finance, or legal role in a regulated environment (pharmaceuticals, financial sector). Excellent data entry and organizational skills with superior attention to accuracy, detail and deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written). Ability to handle and prioritize multiple demands simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of applicable regulations and policies (HCBI, Rx&D Code of Ethical Practices, and internal HCC, Legal and Finance policies), and the ability to translate and interpret requirements as they pertain to daily business practices to identify and mitigate risk. Strong team player, demonstrated ability to problem solve, identify and implement process improvements through collaboration and teaming. Ability to show good judgment and big picture thinking to identify trends in non-compliance and escalate risk appropriately. Knowledge and proficiency of Good Documentation Practices.
