    The laboratory technician is responsible for performing quality testing of raw materials, in-process products, stabilities and finished products. The laboratory technician is also responsible for maintaining the required inventory to perform the testing.


    The laboratory is divided in two different sections: chemistry and microbiology. The laboratory technician may be trained in both sections.


    ·         Performs bioburden testing on raw materials, in process and finished products.

    ·         Performs environmental monitoring and water sampling.

    ·         Performs bacterial identifications, by morphologic or phenotypic technique.

    ·         Other duties as assigned by QS Management.


    ·         Performs and records the required testing on raw materials, stabilities, in-process and finished products according to established procedures and methodologies.

    ·         Other duties as assigned by QS Management.


    DEC in Science in Chemistry/Microbiology as required.

    Minimum of one to three years of industry/ academic experience working in an analytical or microbiology lab as an analyst.

    General knowledge of GMP regulations, Good Laboratory Practices, or comparable Quality of laboratory standards.

    Must have good organizational skills, and be able to work with little supervision.

    Knowledge of commonly used analytical and /or microbiological laboratory methods.

    Knowledge of USP/BP compendia methods is an asset.

    English and French (verbal and written) is ideal
